What will happen in the appointment?

Cryotherapy is controlled destruction of the wart tissue, using very low temperatures, and by freezing and thawing the area multiple times. This treatment is suitable for adults and older children.

What is the treatment plan?

A treatment cycle involves 3 treatments at two week intervals. Dressings are sometimes needed to offload the area immediately after treatment, depending on the location of the warts. Usually no dressings are needed between appointments. There my be some discomfort after treatments so you may need to take your usual pain relief medication (e.g. paracetamol).
