New Patient Appointment

What will happen in the appointment?

Your skin will be examined and the various treatment options will be discussed. I will even tell you about treatment options that I don’t do in my clinic, so you can make a fully informed decision. You are not expected to decide there and then, you may wish to take some time to decide if you wish to treat the verrucae at a later date.

Clinical advice changes as more research is done and our medical knowledge improves, and people are often surprised to be told that warts / verrucae don’t always need to be treated. Most will self resolve in time, however, this can take many years for some people. If your verruca is painful, catching on hosiery, interfering with daily life or just causing you distress because of its appearance then you may choose to have it treated.

Most treatments will require you to book a separate appointment, however, you may be able to start your desired treatment during this appointment if there is enough time left after the consultation. You will need to pay a ‘top up’ fee and this will vary depending on the treatment type. Further information and fees are explained under each treatment type on the main ‘3:Verrucae/Warts’ page.
